Alan Alpenfelt is a theatre and radio director and music producer based in Ticino, Switzerland.
Born in Perth, Scotland in 1982, he has studied Communications at Lugano University and Philosophy at Università Statale, Milan Italy. His contemporary adaptation of Samuel Beckett’s Words and Music was selected for the Swiss Theatre Encounters 2016 in Geneva. He was part of the professional jury at 2016 SonOhr radio drama festival in Bern.
In 2017 he was selected by ProHelvetia for the first ProHelvetia Seminar at the Singapore Arts Festival 2017.
In 2018 he was artist in residence at LAC Lugano under the guidance of Carmelo Rifici and dramaturg Francesca Garolla. His final work was a stage production of “JACKIE” by Elfriede Jelinek.
Since 2020, he is coordinator of Luminanza - reactor for Swiss contemporary drama in Italian language.
Alan is also involved in community radio empowerment, contributing to the creation of different social and cultural radios in Switzerland and recently in Morocco.
